Korean female news anchor fired for giggling

I normally don’t post opinion about people from another country like this, but this is just ridiculous.

Context: At the end of the newscast, Moon Ji-ae, the news anchor for Korean TV station MBC, gave an update to the biggest news of the day, Please login or register to see the link. that killed dozens of foreigners. Then, as usual, she said a farewell greeting to the audience, then bowed to the camera. During that though, for whatever reason, she started giggling. That angered some people, especially the Korean netizens, who pressured MBC to fire her, which they did.

My point to those Netizens: What ? That’s stupid ! I agree that her giggle was not appropriate, especially right after such a tragic news, but forced her out ? Even I myself as a foreigner think that’s way overboard. Do you know for sure why she giggled ? What’s if some idiots at the set did something that made her laughed ? What’s if she thought of doing something great after work with her friends (it’s the end anyways), and felt good about it ? Un-professional, yes, but not to the point of being fired! Make her give a public apology is good enough. Honestly, instead of sitting in front of a computer, get a life, try to find a job yourself (no, chatting and blogging ain’t job) before destroying other people’s livelihood ! Jeeze ! I would be afraid if I’m a public figure in Korea !
