Gangster’s wife said she got police relative to kill Fukuoka man in Philippines
Fukuoka Prefectural Police have set up a joint investigation control center at Nishi Police Station to probe the disappearance of Shinichiro Takagi, 29, a company employee from Fukuoka’s Nishi-ku.
Takagi has not been seen since he left a hotel in Manila at around 9 p.m. on May 11 last year. Takagi was supposed to stay at the hotel for a few days after he checked in there earlier the same day.
Prefectural police had earlier dispatched investigators to Manila to probe the case after the 29-year-old Filipino wife of a gangster, with whom Takagi had been acquainted, told investigators that she asked a relative who is a police officer in the Philippines to kill Takagi.
Investigators will further question the yakuza and his wife and may press murder charges against them. The pair has been indicted over a false marriage scam.

A recent popularity survey by Oricon asked 1,200 people, “Which celebrity would lift your spirits if she were a receptionist at your company?”
Rising star Yui Aragaki was the #1 choice across all surveyed age groups and was particularly popular among men. Another young actress, Masami Nagasawa, ranked 2nd, followed by Yuri Ebihara and Misaki Ito.
Comedienne Masami Hisamoto tied for 5th with Aya Ueto. Becky, who was voted #1 by women, ranked only 7th overall. Kanako Yanagihara was #8, while Nanako Matsushima and Erika Sawajiri tied for #9.

Ayumi Hamasaki deaf in left ear [official]

Fans of pop star Ayumi Hamasaki were surprised on Friday by a post on her fan club website revealing that the singer has gone completely deaf in her left ear.
Hamasaki mentioned that she had her ear checked last year. Her deafness was confirmed, and doctors said her condition was not treatable. The loss of hearing had started as early as 2000, when it forced her to cancel several shows.
Hamasaki said that she will continue her singing career as long as she can still hear with her right ear.
