Kimura Takuya, 34 tuổi, thành viên của nhóm nhạc SMAP, mệnh danh “kẻ cướp trái tim” của thiếu nữ Nhật, đã tuyên bố sẽ không nhận đề cử giải diễn viên nam xuất sắc nhất Nhật Bản tại kì trao giải lần thứ 30 tới. Kimura được đề cử với vai nam chính trong phim Bushi no Ichibun, phim thứ 3 trong series 3 tập phim về Samurai của đạo diễn Yamada Yoji. Hai phim trước là Twilight Samurai (Tasogare Seibei, 2003) và The Dragon Blade (Kakushi-ken Oni no Tsume, 2004) đã thu được thành công vang dội.
