Cyborg She [J-Movie] (Haruka Ayase, Keisuke Koide)

Japanese name: 僕の彼女はサイボーグ
Year: 2008
Director: Kwak Jae-Young
Producer: Mataichiro Yamamoto, Ji Young-Joon
Writer: Kwak Jae-Young
Cast: Haruka Ayase, Keisuke Koide, Kazuko Yoshiyuki, Naoto Takenaka, Fumiyo Kohinata, Masato Ibu
Synopsis: Kwak Jae-Young’s Cyborg She is a touching time-spanning sci-fi romance/comedy that borrows a lot from the Terminator and Back To The Future movies. The results are mixed, but Kwak’s unique storytelling and the impressive VFX (visual effects) are wonderfully brilliant.

An average movie. Usually I love movies with space/time shifts but this one didn’t impress me at all. It was quite ordinary for the kind of plot it had. It was predictable - when he saw the girl for the first time I knew she knew him from somewhere before, and the second time she arrived I could easily tell that she was there for the first time. The drama her arrival scene got and the rigidity of her behavior told me that so the “twist” in the end wasn’t much of a surprise to me. It was, however, still nicely done. Didn’t save the entire movie, though x_X Thanks for the upload.
The stars are great.
The story falls to pieces.
Thanks for sharing the movie. I thought it was a slightly below average romantic/sci-fi movie. It was a bit too long and the attempt to bend the plot in order to add twists wasn’t very good. The actors were only okay with Haruka Ayase (who I like) looking more wooden then a cyborg should be.I guess my biggest disappointment is with Kwak Jae-Young. I had higher expectations in a time travelling movie from him, especially after being delighted by the time travelling bit in My Sassy Girl.
Why my comment only show 1 line? I type more than 15 lines?
I’m crazy! Yeah i’m a little crazy >___<.
thanks for sharing this movie, i really enjoyed it, especially the twist at the end. good stuff!
also, was this adapted from a korean movie?
Thank you for sharing this movie. I have seen it and I really like it. For those who watch anime the beginning of it, to me, it’s something like Chobits. That’s one of the few I’ve seen.
I also really like the music in this movie. Not that it’s popular or something, but it fits the scenes so good. Really ads something to this story.

5 out of 5, definitely a good romance movie plus excellent special effects, expect nothing less for incredible director of my sassy girl & windstruck combined with 8.5 US$ million dollar budget
