The movie was amazing and the reason are small details. But I believe details make the movie so it’s not a surprise. It didn’t disappoint me, it surprised me and I enjoyed it a lot. It became second on my “top movies” list, right underneath Jay Chou’s Secret. I love movies with unusual plots and this one just fits the category perfectly(you can tell from my top list: Secret, Sweet Rain, The Lake House, Deja Vu =D) [Spoilers] Things like his goings and returns - how he walks on that bridge with his dog on the other side, how he always answers “Probably” to the question about proceeding, they way it’s indicated that the people he visited live in different times(first, the clothing in the girl’s time, then ipod in the boy’s and the yakuza’s and then the robot girl in the grandma’s) and lastly, how all the three people are connected, actually the two people. The movie was great, but I do have one comment. When he was waiting for those kids outside the school - it wasn’t raining. I mean, it was cloudy so he couldn’t see the sky but still, it would’ve been so much better if it always rained. Maybe a bit unbelievable, huh? All in all a great movie. Thanks!
Not a bad movie, but I must admit I was expecting a little more.
Kaneshiro, has to be the most versatile of Japanese actors, and this is worth watching for his rather subdued performance.
Nice thoughtful movie, made out of 3 stories that are linked together, you will find out how at the end.
still working !
Does the link for Raw Format CD2 work for anyone? I tried couple times but it does not appear to work for me. Or is it just me? Thanks for share. look forward to this awesome movie.
Thanks for this. I downloaded the raw files and found fairly good Eng soft subs as a torrent file on Avistaz. Keep up on this brilliant and maginificent site..you offer so much more diversity.
amanda: thanks for the comment. u r lucky to be able to watch it in the cinema …
I watched the movie 2 days ago. It was one of those times where I just went to the cinema with some friends without planning what to watch. We stood there for 1/2 hour deciding what to watch before we finally settled on Sweet Rain. And I can tell you, I do not regret choosing it at all! Its funny, sweet and makes you think about life. Plus, Takeshi Kaneshiro did a really good job as Chiba-san. Great movie! Thanks so much for the download link, I’ll be sure to watch it over and over.
Thx very much. I’ve downloaded but I’ll be waiting for subs…:D
THANK A LOT, SOMEHOW HARD SUB TO BE CONVERT FASTER
What a pity! Thanks anyway, Viet. I downloaded the hard-sub version, not too bad. Hopefully the soft sub files would be out soon.
monkey + josh: raw quality is much better than the hard-subbed one, but soft sub is not available. that’s the situation…
