Oricon Japan has a survey on the website asking visitors which kind of songs that make them sleep well and relax. The result came out to be rather suprising. The trend of fangirls who vote for their dream-boys no matter what kind of poll it is, dominating most of the previous polls, is no longer kept. The top 3 songs belong to female singers.

New TV drama “Code Blue” with Yamapi, Gakky, Toda

On Thursday, Fuji TV has confirmed the upcoming TV drama named “Code Blue : Doctor Heli Kinkyu Kyumei”, with a cast that includes NEWS member Tomohisa Yamashita, and the two rising young actresses Yui Aragaki and Erika Toda.
The concept is based on Japan’s proposal for an emergency medical service using helicopters to quickly reach those in need. A special bill was passed in June 2007 that should foster widespread adoption of the system. Yamashita stars as a young doctor-in-training, working under the guidance of an experienced “flight doctor” (Toshiro Yanagiba). Some scenes will be filmed with a real helicopter, adding to the show’s tension.
The drama will be aired some time in July, on the Thursday 10pm slot.
Other supporting roles: Manami Higa, Yosuke Asari, Kiyoshi Kodama, Ryo, Tetta Sugimoto, Susumu Terajima, and Masanobu Katsumura.
As One Discography
As One is a Korean pop duo consisting of Korean Americans Lee Min Young and Crystal Chae. They were discovered by one of the former members of critically acclaimed Korean R&B group SOLID who attended their church one day and heard them sing. Their first hit was the song “너만은 모르길,” released in 1999 on Rock Records. Between their fourth and fifth albums, their contract with Rock Records expired and they signed with EMI Korea; a label which also manages other k-pop stars like DJ DOC and Baby VOX. In late 2006, As One released their fifth and most recent album 12 Tears of Farewell, and started their promotional activities with the lead track “십이야” (12 Nights).

Sweeping 3.5 billion yen at the box office and 13 trophies at the Japan Academy Awards, Yamazaki Takashi’s nostalgic blockbuster Always - Sunset on Third Street was the runaway winner of 1995. The cast and crew return to even greater acclaim and box office in 2007 with Always - Sunset on Third Street 2. Based on Saigan Ryohei’s popular manga, Always 2 picks up the story shortly after the events of the first film, returning to the bustling lives of the residents of Third Street as they carve out their own small worlds in 1959 Japan. The film has the same winning formula of heartwarming drama and stunning CGI, recreating the sights, sounds, and sentiments of 1950s Japan with crowd-pleasing precision. Suzuki’s family of four plays host to seven-year-old relative Mika (Koike Ayame), but the spoiled city girl is less than impressed with their humble living conditions. Across the lane, struggling writer Chagawa Ryunosuke (Yoshioka Hidetaka) wants to prove himself to adopted son Junnosuke (Suga Kenta) and romantic interest Hiromi (Koyuki). Desperately holding on to his makeshift family and fading dreams, Chagawa is aiming for nothing less than the Akutagawa Prize with his great Japanese novel - and all his neighbors seem to be in it somehow. The frustrating process and financial worries, however, are more likely to push him to the end of the road than great literary fame.
