   Does anyone know where I can get the soundtrack to yi-san and the subs for the 2 specials? Also a good book on the Korean History in English. My Korean isn’t very strong. Any suggestions on learning Korean like if I were in Korea going through there school system so I can learn the big words and phrases. I can read/write but not very well since I don’t use it much. Thanks.

    Here is the subtitle workshop. Download it and install.

    Before you readjust the Sub. Make sure that YOU know wether the SUB dissyncronise forwardly or backwardly and ABOUT HOW LONG THE LAGGING TIME IS (1 SEC or 1/10 second etc).

    1- Then you run SubWorkshop.. open the Sub file.

    2- Click Ctrl +D to open Set Delay Menu.
    IF the Sub appears PRIOR to the actual voice.. (backwardly) that means It goes earlier than it should say 1 second= That means the delay time for all subs is mismatched relatively less than they should. There for you must choose (plus) + and increasing and moving delay-time up to 10:00:00 =(1 sec)… then choose FOR ALL the SubTitles..
    3-IF the Sub appears AFTER actual voice.. (Forwardwardly) that means It goes later than it should say 1 second= That means the delay time for all subs is mismatched relatively more than they should. There for you must choose plus - (minus) and decreasing and moving delay-time down to 10:00:00 =(1 sec)… then choose FOR ALL the SubTitles..
    4- REMEMBER Chick SAVE- OK then EXIT…
    That’s it all!!!!!!!!!!
    IF you are not quite sure about the lagging time, just try one second then SAVE .. And run the movie for some seconds you will notice the change.. You would know what to do next.. It’s so simply and straight forward.

    If the sub doesn’t match, You can use Subworkshop to readjust them. It just take 10 secends to to so. I had to readjust Eps 72-75 with Subworshop. They all work fine now.

    By the way We are all waiting for eps 77. Viet.

    waaahhhh.. i really can’t upload ep74, there’s an error, i followed the instructions in uploading very carefully and i even delete and upload it again and again but everytime i tried to play it in vlc media player an error occured.. i need help, i really really want to watch this episode.. i already uploaded ep75 and i was succesfully uploaded it, but why ep74 like this, i need help, dying to watch this saddest episode of yi-san..

    christine: download the files from megaupload. combine them using hjsplit. and watch them using any program that can use sub, but i recommend media player classic. all instructions are at the end of the post itself.

    jane: anyone else has this problem ?

    I usually watch Yisan on MySoju because it has English sub. but I have been waiting for the english sub title for ep 70-75 but I waited too long. I stumbled onto your site but don’t know how I can download the right software to watch Yisan. Can you give me detail instruction to do so. Computer is not my forte. Thanks a bunch.

    Guess I have a guilty conscience… Anyway…

    Yep, Soompi fangirls spoiled YS pretty badly for me too. I’m only up to episode 54. I knew that everybody was going to die, but they spoiled a lot of the plot twists… They should have a regular thread and a seperate spoiler thread only for people whose viewing is 100% up-to-date.

    pokute…My reference on spoilers was not directed at you. You correctly stated a fact from History which is not a spoiler. As I said before, history is history. That cannot change.
    And yes, you are right about the people at soompi
    wanting the writers to deviate from history.
    Soompi should change their Website to SPOILERS.COM. Thats all they do there. If I offended you, please accept my apology.

    Oops. Sorry. I didn’t mean to spoil… I tried specifically NOT to refer to the show we are all watching, but I guess since it IS a historical drama, what I said could be considered a spoiler. Sorry.

    I agree with hummer75 - there are people on Soompi who seem to be wishing that Yi San would deviate from history and show everybody living happily ever after, and have the show merge seamlessly into Goong… But that would be a travesty, and yes, a lie.

    Viet: Yi San is quickly coming to a close and before it’s all over I wanted to say thank you.
    Because of your site I was able to learn how to
    join all of these episodes with their english subs using HJ Split and VCL Media Player process.
    I followed the above instructions by Auto Host and it made it so simple. Thank You again in advance for carrying this Drama to the end. Because some people enjoy leaking out spoilers I really don’t like to see whats going to happen but history is history. Anything else would be a lie.

    BTW - MrsKorea and mily2 know that when I talk about re-encoding, I specifically DO NOT endorse the streaming of video with their subs. Re-encoding for personal use is fine. If you stream their subs, they WILL stop subbing the show, so DON’T DO IT!

    I haven’t verified it myself yet, but there is a possibility that 72 and 73, Ental versions, have some broken frames. This may or may not affect playback, depending upon your system. It will DEFINITELY affect re-encoding - So if you are ntending to re-encode, you should search out the Shinhwa versions of these episodes.

    MrsKorea and mily2 are DEMONS, not only because are they the fastest, but their command of translated English is second to NONE. Their native Korean must be excellent and their devotion to the project must be highly intrinsic in order to produce such good translation.

    Viet has such intrinsic character. Be patient and be appreciated my friends.

    @Katia - There is an actor’s strike in Korea that will delay broadcast of the final 2 episodes for an unknown period of time. It may be that the rushed quality of recent episodes was due to the looming strike.

    MrsKorea and mily2 are DEMONS - This is the fastest subbing I have ever seen, and the average quality has been A+!! They deserve a vacation! I recommend that everyone here donate to WITHS2 to support their future projects!

    as far as I know, mily2/mrs.korea are the only ones who’re doing it. i guess their lives are getting busier. people have day jobs, which take higher priority than fansub, upload/download, etc. from the look of it, the project is personal to both of them, which means the workload must be a lot higher than usual. i’m keeping this blog all on my own, so i should understand so yeah, be patient, it will come out when it’s the right time.

    I had an old 750 mhz computer. I ordered an 8 meg vid card with rca output from pricewatch for 10 bucks. I only installed the software required to play avi’s. I put it next to the tv and ran rca cables. I also ran a lan cable from it to my router to download dramas. It works great. If you don’t want to run a lan cable, you can get a 2 gig usb flash drive from pricewatch for 10 dollars and transfer that way. Just a little slower.

    Seal, if you want to burn them to cd, then use Winavi. It will create an SVCD that can be burned to CD with nero and played on most dvd players. It takes 2 cds per story. Winavi will create a dvd with two stories (ie 63 and 64), burn to a dvdr with your burning software. Simply load both stories and for my system it takes about an hour to convert.Winavi automatically applies the subs to the dvd in hardcode.

Please, please help… to wait for “Mysoju, English version is somtimes excruciatingly long…. one week after the Korean version appears in Veoh.com. I’m hooked on this story of Emperor Yi San. Such a wonderful, great and gracious emperor - never taking advantage of his position and such compassion for the underpriviledged!

    I have the file in avi format plus the sub file (.srt). I was able to view the movie on my PC. Now if I want to watch it on my TV, can someone show me what I need to do before burning it onto a CD.

    To Huong:

    Make sure you have all the 3 parts of a Yi San episode in the same folder. Then use Hj Split to join the part 1 of the episode. The rest will be automactically joined. After this, you will get a Yi San avi movie file in the folder. Then, you double-click to open up VLC. Next, you go to File then Open File…Now a window box pop up.

    Under File, you see where it say Open: [ ] Browse…This is where you browse and select the Yi San avi movie file in the folder.

    Next, below Open: [ ], you see a small white empty box like this: []Use a subtitles file. Click on the []. Then, where it say:

    File: [ ] Browse…This is where you browse and select the english subtitle in the folder.

    After that, just click Ok down the bottom and the movie should start right away. I hope this help you. If you have further questions, please feel free to post them. I will try my best to help. So in the mean time, HAVE FUN AND ENJOY!

    Woah, I haven’t been here for a while. I see that, some of these people are still having trouble to view or get the movie to work. I’m here to help again, so please listen up and read carefully. The steps are:

    1=create a folder and named Yi San
    2=download the Yi San movie parts from this site under megaupload
    3=save all movie parts in the Yi San folder
    3=go to d-addicts.com and download the Yi San english sub for which ever episode you want to watch
    4=put the english sub in the Yi San folder
    5=download Hj Split @ http://www.treepad.net/download/hjsplit.zip
    6=install Hj Split
    7=download VLC Media Player @ http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
    8=install VLC Media Player
    9=use Hj Split and join the Yi San PART 1 ONLY(the rest is automatically joined)
    10=after the joining process, you will get a Yi San movie avi file
    11=use VLC Media Player to open the avi file and english sub (open up vlc media player and click file/open with/then the avi file. after that you should get a window box pop up, here is where you browse and put in the english sub. after that, click done or ok.)
    12=ENJOY THE MOVIE!!!!

    NOTE: you dont have to change the .srt or anything. i found that this way is way better and easier than using Windows Media Classic.

     Someone suggested that there was little or no “chemistry” between Lee Seo Jin and Han Ji Min. I have to admit, I agree. As much as I love this show, when they are on screen together it’s as if they were separated by a wall. The fault seems to lie equally on both of them. Lee Jong Soo, as hammy as he is, makes a huge effort to “connect” to the actors around him (something about his style makes me think he is being coached by Lee Hee Do), but the two “stars” are just not making it. They look exhausted diffident all the time.

     So sad.

     eenok17,

     1 = Download the 3 parts of the episode you want to watch.
     2 = Put the 3 parts in the same folder.
     3 = Download Hj Split and VLC Media Player. Install them both.
     4 = Download the english sub for which ever episode you want to watch. Put it in the same folder as the 3 parts.
     5 = Use Hj Split to join the 3 parts. (Only “join” part 1 and the rest is automatically join during the process. Once the joining process is done, you will get a movie file in the folder.)
     6 = Use VLC Media Player to open the movie file and the english sub.

     I hope this help you. Enjoy! ^_^

     I have a problem with watching the episodes I downloaded.

     Episode 46 part 1 was successful but when I try to watch episode 46 part 2, it tells me that it doesn’t have the right codec. Before I tried changing the name it told me that the file was not recognized by windows. I tried downloading it twice with the same result.

     I also accidentally downloaded episode 47 part 2 and came to the same conclusion.

     Can someone help me? Thanks a bunch.

     i dont really know how to help u but i will try. open IE (Internet Explorer), go to “Tools/Internet Options/Delete/Delete all…” wait until it’s finishing deleting/cleaning. close IE and reopen a IE window. then go back to site and try to download the episode(s) that you wanted. if u still have an error or 16.8 KB, then i think the file(s) is no longer available. or maybe u did something wrong.

     my suggestion is that: u download “Azureus” and install it on your cpu. Azureus is a free program that let you download “torrent” files. don’t worry, there is no virus or spam. also, download “VLC” media player. as for the english sub, download that ahead of time. now use Azureus to download the RAW Yi San torrent episodes from d-addicts.com. each torrent file is about 699-705 MB. it will take about 3+ hrs to download 1 torrent file depending on your internet connections. then use VLC to “open” the RAW Yi San torrent file and the english sub.

     Hmmm…I’m having trouble with Megaupload. It was working fine before but now every time I try to download something from it I only download 16.8 KB of the file. Is this because of some restriction they have with their quota? This only started happening after I downloaded about 29 episodes. If anyone knows what to do, or even has a clue…please offer some assistance, I would be very grateful.

     mily2 & mrs korea has announced that, if veoh, mysouju, azntv, crunchyroll, and other sites need to stop uploading and streaming Yi San episodes with english sub. IT’S OK TO UPLOAD “RAW” EPISODES BUT NOT WITH THE ENGLISH SUB. if people dont listen and dont stop, mily2 & mrs korea will stop making english sub for Yi San. one reason why the english subs are slower than usual is cause of this problem. PLEASE RESPECT MILY2 & MRS KOREA HARDWORK.

     Hi Viet,

     My screen resolution is 1900×1200 - No matter how I size the Firefox window I see the same problems:

     1. In the banner at the top of the page, the second line of text is overlapped by the white line separating the purple and black parts of the banner. No matter what size I make the window it’s always like that. This gives the text a “strikeout” appearance.

     2. There are three columns of content across the page at the top, filling the entire width. However, as soon as I scroll down a bit, there is a single column of fixed width which floats at the left as I change window width. The right half of the frame is all white. Note that somebody else mentions this in your “RECENT COMMENTS” section.

     3. At the very bottom of the page there are 4 columns. These seem to have a minimum width set, and when the window is wider than the total minimum width, the leftmost and rightmost columns expand, but the text does not.

     I looked at the source for the page, and there is definitely bad <table> formatting. I would recommend that you download Kompozer and give the page a quick once-over to get the table formatting more portable.

     i’m surprised that you have troubles viewing this page by Firefox. I’ve tried 4 different computers with different resolutions, and they all look fine to me.Which resolution is yours ? I abandoned IE, as it’s too difficult dealing with IE and Wordpress at the same time anyways, but Firefox should be fine.
