   The movie was so great. I learned so many things and cried so many times, I didn’t know why at first, but having to watch for a little longer it reminded me of the pain I had and the suffering I went though as well.

   Just to add to the comment from ady on Feb. 8th, the video for episodes 26, 31, and 35 is corrupt.
   If you play these episodes using WMP or WMP Classic (or any player that doesn’t fix them first) you’ll miss a small portion of the video and you’ll need the revised sub files provided by Jungwon to keep the subs in sync.
   If you use VLC Media Player to play them, it will repair the avi index first, you will see the entire video, and the original subs should stay in sync.
   Also, if you convert your drama series to DVD like I do, the software you use (ConvertXtoDvd in my case) may also repair the video glitches in these 3 episodes, in which case you will want to use the original subs from D-Addicts.

    Thank you for the upload. Could you please reupload the subs for ep 14 & 15? The link is dead. I highly recommend this series and don’t be afraid that it has 64 episodes…it’s well worth it.

    I’m sorry if this has been mentioned before. To be honest, I didn’t read the previous posts cos there are too many of them… ‘^_^

    There’s a glitch in episode 31 and 35. I’m not sure about the rest of the episodes since I’m watching up to episode 35 at the moment but I’ll let you know if there’s any.

    This error indicates that the video file was not joined, fully downloaded or corrupted/fake. In this case, you did not download and join all three parts using “cat” command. Follow my instructions above in my previous post and it should work accordingly.

    @need help: Join all 3 parts of the video file first. There is only one sub for a joined video file. After joining 3 video files, you are able to watch the file properly with the sub.

    here’s what i did. Opened VLC to play file, and click load subtitle file, then the error message.

    question, from your file, when i click the “sub”, was it suppose to take me to megaupload so that I can download the sub like part 1, part 2, part 3? if that should’ve happened, then it didn’t.
    It gave this file:
    Gold-3.Bride.E46.KOR.HDTV.XviD-Ental-[WITH S2].srt
    was i supposed to do something with this file?

    Oh I use mac! And not even updated version of the operating system. I have no problems. First I download links as normal. Then I put the downloaded files in a new folder. (this is necessary to work correct) Then I open application called MacHacha. You can google MacHacha and find free versions to download quickly many places. At the top of the computer under File menu I select Alphajoin. (MacHacha application is open at this time) Then you select a file. The first of sequence. It then joins the files together and a new single file of complete episode is ready. Then I use VLC player and it works. I don’t like quicktime. Not good for long videos. Quicktime has problems but VLC is not a trouble for me. Does that make sense? Sometimes there are difference in file names and it won’t work. Then you must make all the file names the same. But keep a number difference to show sequence. But mostly this does not need to be done. Mostly files for downloads are named good. Does that help?

    And now lets wait to see what happens next. I want to know what Ji-Young does next. She is scary. I don’t like the teacher. The Halmoni. Everybody seems to like her but I think she encourage Ji-Young to be worse. All other characters tell Ji-Young to stop. Also, Ji-Young mother tell Ji-Young to stop. But the Grant Aunt teacher is the only one who always gives Ji-Young what she wants. Is that a good teacher?

    Need help: To download a copy, click on the links you want to be downloaded to your computer. MegaUpload requires “free” registered/unregistered users to wait 30 seconds before exposing download link to users. You can see a JavaScript counting down from 30 seconds on the bottom right-hand side. MegaUpload will ask for a 3 alphanumeric security code, type what is shown in the image generated. MegaUpload has download limits per hour/day. For example, if you download a 80MB file, you cannot download another file after that. Regardless if MegaUpload’s hourly/daily download limits set (500MB) for free users, we cannot use the rest of the quota given to us. It’s a flaw in their quota implementation. How to download simultaneously or sequentially? Register a monthly or yearly account. Simple.

    The way a MAC downloads files is exactly the same as Windows. All internet browsers are alike. To join files on a MAC, go into terminal, change directories to where the split files are residual and type for example:

    cat file_part001 file_part002 file_part003 > file_joined

    Here’s an example on how to join Golden Bride Episode 57:

    cat Gold.Bride.E57.KOR.HDTV.XviD-Ental.avi.001 Gold.Bride.E57.KOR.HDTV.XviD-Ental.avi.002 Gold.Bride.E57.KOR.HDTV.XviD-Ental.avi.003 > Gold.Bride.E57.KOR.HDTV.XviD-Ental.avi

    I don’t use MAC either, but it’s UNIX, and most UNIX operating systems are the same. So the commands are the same.

    kjj: as jung-won said and one other thing, megaupload used to have a download limit for free user at 250MB/file. Now they increase it to 500MB/file, which is still lower than the > 700MB/file we have here. I’ve got no clue where they will go from here, so just to be safe for my visitor, i keep it at 249MB/file. I’m curious that no-one has yet asked me why on earth i chose such a random number, haha.

    To watch ep 46, the best you must join all the parts of pe 46 together.

    I think those selfish ppl uploading hardsubs and streaming should recognised that they will influence not people who are longing for Esub but also the fansubbing group. Fansubbing groups have to face a lot of risks and time for making the subs for us who desperatedly needs them to understand the dramas. I, myself also go through the process of translating and making subs, therefore, I totally understand your hardwork and effort for keeping fansubbing alive… Best wishes to you guys, fansubbing groups, who contribute a lot for sharing and helping us to watch those interesting dramas.

    Anyways, there is still a good news when Withs2 released subs for eps 46-47.

    @Viet: thanks a lot for uploading this drama. As a Vnese, I really want to watch this drama. So unfortunate that you cant upload those current dramas when you go back VN. Have an enjoyful trip.     Wow.. I haven’t check in with Viet & this site for so long - never knew there’s so many discussions& tensions here.. hehe.. I am jealous of your upcoming long vacation!! and I see some familiar faces here too.. * greetings to all*-
    For those who don’t know me.. I’m the admin/ coordinator of WITH S2.. I usually don’t address alot of issues publicly.. but for the fans & supporters of Golden Bride- I will try to shed some light on some issues that everyone seems to be having.

    Let me start out by saying that normally WITH S2 wouldn’t sub any drama that is longer than 30 episodes.. so Golden Bride is an exception.. partly because it’s related to Vietnam and that is very very dear to my heart - hence I feel a very special bond with all the Vietnamese friends here.

    Of all people.. we feel badly that we have to take such a strong stance .. and halting
    subs was really our last resort.. We’ve been fighting some major issues ( legal also).. and sites like mysoju.com & http://aznv.tv/en/ are definitely not helping the matter.

    We’ve done all we could.. for over a year.. constant asking, pleading, sending out very sincere messages to no avail.. but gosh.. these people really know how to test our patience and limits… it’s bad enough that our very sincere “pleads” were ignored completely.. but what makes us so sad is that after every pleading message that we sent out.. an addition streaming episode is added.. so after the year-long battle.. we just feel completely helpless and stressed out.

    As you know.. the problem is that since WITH S2 is quite active and somewhat big * not to sound cocky or anything*- but we are well-known in the fansubbing word.. so we became the easy target if people needs to go after fansubbers… every step we take is being watched very closely by huge stations and licenesed holders alike. Obviously.. all these unwanted attention from streaming sites * which do profits from
    our hard work with adds and traffics to the site* - obviously do not help our shaky and dangerous situation at all.

    I think it is a known fact that WITH S2 members are passionate about kdramas and our goal is to share such passion with others.. we are doing this
    for the fans.. so nothing is more painful than watching our work
    sitting pretty - fans and supporters give us the motivations we need to endure all the stress and hardwork. Personally.. I wouldn’t spend 3-4
    hours each day running withs2 and enduring the endless stress if I don’t
    think that you guys are worth it..
    Running WITH S2 is my second full-time job.. and considering that everything we do in fansubbing is non-profit.. it does take tons of dedication and motivations.. It definitely helps to know that those who are supportive of us with be the ones to protect us so that we can continue our subbing work with the ease of mind.

    Lastly.. as Jan 10, 2008 is our second anniversary.. * yes.. we’ve been doing this officially for 2 years* - we hope that 2008 will be a good year for us.. that all issues can be solved and that we can continue to focus on our main goal- fansubbing. With that said.. we will be lifting the halt of subs for the time being and will resume our releases *slowly* to celebrate this joyful occasion.     Seriously, to all out there, do not submit unfinished work, hi-jack projects, hard-sub, direct stream or attempt to push withs2. The more you do it, the more delays you will see. In fact the delays have been stated clearly by withs2, now we are not delaying by the number of days each offense is put out, we are delaying the whole project all together until we get what we deserve.

    Kdrama Addict: thanks for the reminder. Without much thinking, I originally post the direct link to the sub on the same post with the raw files for the convenience of my viewers. But later on, I realized the problem, and started to post only the link to the d-addicts threads that contains the sub. As you can see, this drama starts mid-summer, and i don’t want to change the way i post thing in the middle of the drama so that my viewers won’t get lost. If you browse my site a bit more, you will see that all the new drama reflect what i just said. I do know a couple of people from WithS2, and it would be a bit much to suggest that i am in any way disrespect the sub team, rush them, stealing their works, or anything like that. If mily2, or anyone from the team feel that it’s not enough, let me know and i’m more than willing to take them all off.

    With the current embarrassing situation regarding the streaming guys, I know it’s only a matter of time before i get this kind of question. I’ve said many times before, and I’ll say this again. I’m doing this for fun only, no competition with the torrents guys, no stealing credit from the sub team, no name building, no ads for money (yet, god knows), nothing. My korean language skill is not zero, but quite close to it, so yeah, no subbing. Anyone who has problems with bt, with cb, or too lazy to wait, welcome to my site. That includes most of my friends from Vietnam.

    Where is it that more word docs can be found anne? I don’t know where. I want to understand what happens next in the drama so much. I watched through episode 53 so far. I can understand some Korean but am not fluent. There is a lot of casual speech in these dramas that is spoken quickly and I can’t follow much of it.

    I don’t want to make subtitles. I just want to see and understand the drama to the end. Please help if you can. I thank you very much.

    Whose hard work were you indicating? We did not copy someone’s translated work into a word document and claimed that it’s ours. Those word docs were translated by a friend who took pity out of us die hard Golden Bride fans.

    Mel: it is THE legal issue that everyone is worried about. Every sub team has that problem, and I have the same issue uploading too. You should read the link provided above for more info.

    youtube, veoh,.. uploaders: seriously, people, this is not a new problem at all. if it was the first time, you could say that you don’t know, but it’s the million-th time by now. try to freaking respect the subbers’ wish. it isn’t a random wish, mind you … everybody has to keep themself out of trouble before volunteering for anything …

    Thanks for uploading this long drama. Needs a lot of dedication to upload so many of them! On top of that, it looks like the 50 episodes is going to be extended to about 64-70 episodes…
    Still, I’m so much in love with JunWoo and JinJoo love story. It doesn’t matter how long this drama is going to last, I will still enjoy every time JunWoo and JinJoo appear on my screen. Perhaps I should ask the PD to have more JunWoo - JinJoo air time …
    I guess the last part of the drama is about JinJoo finding her father and the fate on JiYoung’s marriage.

     for each request asking when the subs will be release delays the release by 24 hours

     Team w/s2 has been very good about getting out the subs within a week after it airs in Korea, I would not like to upset them and have to wait for the sub release.
     I really appreciate all their hard work that goes into translating this drama.

     Lots of very valuable information can be learned here by reading the earlier post.

     Team w/S2 has been so great in releasing these subtitles very quickly, within a week after it show in Korea. This is what I’m thankful for. A very Big Thank You to All of you that make this possible.
     They just released subs for 41 & 42 earlier this morning.
     I can’t wait to come home and watch, with subs, tonight, with my turkey dinner.
     Now if Hawaii and beat Boise State in tomorrow game it will be 11-0. Go warriors!

     Jen, one way to download using megaupload without waiting is to download it after 9PM. What you need to do is register to megaupload free service and obtain a use-name and password. Then download the megaupload manager. Every night from 9PM-3AM you will have free premium account (to get the premium account after 9 just press on the “Happy hour Premium” button on the toolbar of your internet explorer). I don’t know where you live, it might change from region to region, but it works for me. What you can also do is download flashget ( a download manager) load all of the downloads to flashget. You can set up as many things as you want to download. Leave your computer overnight and it will download everything for you, even if it went pass the premium access account time.
