Một cuộc khảo sát người Nhật từ 35-40 tuổi cho thấy hơn 90% người Nhật đã quên đi một phần của bộ chữ viết Kanji (khó nhất, nhưng cũng tối quan trọng để hiểu khi đọc và viết).

Cuộc khảo sát này được thực hiện bởi tổ chức hỗ trợ giảng dạy tiếng Nhật, và có khoảng 400 người được hỏi. 93% không có nhiều dịp để víêt như trước, còn 85% cho rằng khả năng viết của mình đã giảm sút nhiều. Các chuyên gia cho rằng nguyên nhân là do sự phổ biến của máy tính và điện thoại di động, cộng thêm với việc bút viết ngày càng ít được sử dụng. Bởi vì bộ chữ viết Kanji của Nhật là tượng hình, mỗi chữ đều có ý nghĩa của nó, đọc hiểu tiếng Nhật đựơc xem là dễ dàng hơn rất nhiều so với viết. Một giáo sư người Nhật đã so sánh: “Khi đem hình một con mèo để ra trước mắt bạn, bạn sẽ nhận ra ngay đó là một con mèo, nhưng khi bảo bạn vẽ hình con mèo thì chưa chắc gì bạn làm được.”

Bộ chữ Kanji có vài ngàn kí tự, trong đó có khoảng 1945 kí tự được sử dụng trong giảng dạy ở nhà trường Nhật Bản.

With the sheer volume of files that I upload everyday, 1) mega-manager is the only reliable uploading software, 2) megaupload is the only one which allows big enough size, 3) megaupload is the one that keeps the files alive the longest. For files smaller than 100MB, I've been using sharebee, which creates links to multiple services., and that is the biggest improvement i've seen in 2,3 years. I'm open to suggestions, but if your only comment is "please use other services because megaupload sux in my country", then don't bother.
